Family History: The Salvitore Familia started out as members of the Calvone Family. Upper advisers to the 10th Calvone, Dino. The 1st generation realized that they were capable of using flames. Dino, tested them using rings of the attributes of the sky. They were capable of powerful flames, flames comparable to the 7th Generation Vongola. The future 1st generation Salvitore stole powerful rings of A-Class Flames and used them to split from the Calvone family, taking 1/6th of the family with them. Dino fought off the Salvitore family, with the aide of 10th Vongola, Sawada Tsunayoshi. To this day the family has been trying to make peace with the the Calvone and Vongola Families. The families still have distrust of the Salvitore but it seems they are coming to believe in them.
